Sudan Relief Fund Raiser

Riding across America is a breeze compared to the lifelong journey Thuch Malual-Deng, a Lost Boy of Sudan, has endured. We have been awed and inspired by Thuch's resolve to help his people in southern Sudan in the face of tremendous obstacles. While his goals are ambitious, his means, resources and networks are extremely limited.

So we dedicate our ride to honor and support Thuch in his quest to build a clinic in his region of birth and supply schools with very basic supplies.

Presently villagers must walk 4 days for the nearest medical care.  A seemingly minor foot wound proved fatal to his sister, who suffered without the most basic medical assistance. Landmines still populate the countryside, making it extremely dangerous to venture off the beaten path.

Schools are so poorly supported that a pencil and writing tablet are divided into halves,   so two children can practice writing.
