Thuch fled his village of Wanuglei, without food or clothing and only his seven year old brother as prime care giver. His growing band of brothers eventually swelled into an exodus of 20,000 other Lost Boys of Sudan.

They walked over 1000 miles in a beleaguered human migration, in search of sanctuary. They endured unfathomable dangers and hardships before finding temporary refuge. Refuge consisted of 14 years living in poorly provisioned camps in Kenya and Ethiopia, before being one of the few chosen to come to America.

Thuch, now 22 years old and a US citizen, is learning a new way of life in America. He is well on his way to success, graduating from Shorecrest High School in 2004, holding a job at Albertson’s in Lake Forest Park while beginning studies to become a pharmacist at Cascadia Community College.

Lost Boys in America have founded an association* to bring hope to their African homeland. We expect to channel some fruits of our fund raising efforts thru their organization.

Thuch will travel to his home village this summer ('07) to visit his last surviving relative in Sudan and get an assessment of needs there.

He is available to speak to your group, sharing his stories of survival and new hope.
